Look: This expat designs rings inspired by iconic UAE landmarks

Abu Dhabi-based American jewelry designer Tariq Riaz has created a breathtaking UAE50 collection of rings inspired by iconic landmarks such as Qasr Al Hosn and Al Jahili Fort, in honor of the UAE's Golden Jubilee. These masterpieces, crafted using platinum, diamonds, and natural stones, took over four years to complete.

Riaz, a former Silicon Valley engineer with a passion for design, ventured into jewelry after creating an expandable ring for his wife. This led him to develop his UAE50 collection, celebrating the UAE's heritage with intricate designs that tell stories of forts, date palms, and traditional water vessels.

Each ring in the collection features the highest quality materials, with up to 700 diamonds and gemstones, and employs his innovative Abrazo technique, allowing for adjustability up to seven sizes. Although Riaz poured his heart and resources into this collection, he considers it priceless and not for sale, with the collection already winning 12 international awards.
